The London Grand Prix
Santander UK and Sidhu & Simon Communications came to INK London with an idea: turn central London into an adrenaline-fuelled street race. Territory Studio took over the design and animation of the 2D side of the project, and that’s where I come into play. The result? The 2012 Santander London Grand Prix - an adventure through a CG city of London starring Formula 1 World Champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. After taking home the award for "Best Use of Public Relations in a Sponsorship Campaign" at The Hollis Sponsorship Awards, a "Gold Award" and a highly commended for "Best Film" at the IVCA Awards and shortlisted for the Sports Industry Awards; the 2012 Santander London Grand Prix proved to be one of the most effective F1 sponsorship activation campaigns ever. I art directed, designed and animated all the 2D section of the video, creating an immersive visualization of anyhitng the two pilots talks about during the film. The main idea was to visualize their mind while thinking, turn by turn, at hte London F1 track. Fun and glad for the gold award, yeah! Done @ Territory Studio
