SIGUR ROS - INNI

Inni is a live concert documentary about the life and work of Icelandic band Sigur Ros made for their 10th anniversary of the band career. While in Montreal I had the chance to work closely with director/artist Vincent Morisset on this very special and unique project. After the live action shoot of the actual live gig, we spent several weeks in a studio experimenting with in-camera FX, practical FX and any sort of possible effect created by mixing together real objects, lights and anything else could come to mind. All this before to even touch our computers. A deep dive into analog effects. The live footage ended up being printed on film (after been shot on high res digital camera), then projected on a wall while being filtered by analog objects, to finally being re-recorded on film. This articulate process gives that unique look, impossible to recreate digitally on a computer.
