CLOSER

Artwork I created for Maria Chiara Argirò new album 'Closer' on Innovative Leisure label. We had a blast in Athens a few months ago, shooting with the very talented, local photographer, Dimitris Lambridis within an incredible arty environment created by artist Alessia De Pasquale. As creative director & artist on this multifaceted music project the main challenge was to give to Maria Chiara's new album an identity, creating an iconic image able to condense the multiverse of concepts and ideas expressed in her mesmerizing new music. I wanted to create a world which was familiar and unsettling at the same time. A place where things we recognize and make us feel home keep evolving in front of our eyes making the world around us an exciting symphony of transformation and innovation. Maria Chiara, in the center of the artwork, is at the same time witness of all that but also the creator of this new changing world. A sun that doesn't set but rather keeps rising. A huge thanks to the Greek team for the support and warm hospitality and to everyone else involved who helped us along the way.
